STAY MOTIVATED & PRAY

Be leery but encourage (pray for them) those friends and associates who always have bad news and no joy. Presently it seems as if many people are going through really tough struggles. Whether financial, physical, or otherwise it is my belief that a close relationship with God is the remedy. “The joy of the lord is my strength”. That’s what the word says.

An associate of ours recently discussed her housing situation with us proclaiming she was about to lose her house and “her husband is not and will not work”. At this point we told her to talk to a lawyer and keep up with what the Obama Administration is doing with foreclosures. This was about six months ago. Our background in real estate allowed my wife to them into her home in 2005. Solid property, solid mortgage it was a good deal. At that point they were a dual income household with a terminally ill son. They wanted the house.

Since then things have gotten challenging for everybody. It is my theory that this financial crisis will separate the true from the fake, and the weak from the strong. She grew up in a Pentecostal church. However the enemy has her turning to the bottle instead of her Word. Wondering, why she is here at 12:00 am Tuesday night, finals start tomorrow, the kids have to be in school, my wife has to be at work, plus I have three clients in process; I went into priest mode.

Discussion began about their prayer life and how my wife and I pray. Several times we have shared the intimacies of our prayer life with them. Obviously to no avail, since she is here with a fourteen day notice from the magistrate. We went over some of her last options; Going to the sheriff sale, Bankruptcy, and the length of time taken to foreclose. Keeping her home is fueled by her son graduating next year.

Staying in the word, standing on God’s promises, and remaining prayerful has never been more important. I’m not claiming to be the biggest church boy. However, I am claiming to be extremely spiritual and knowledgeable about the power of agreement, and words. I always say put yourself in a position to be blessed. They are in a recession, we are in a progression. Be blessed, be a blessing to your family, friends, and associates. We will be fine watch you will see. “All things work together for the good of those who love Christ”.

REQUIREMENTS MODELING.

How does one know what the client needs? Listening to what the client says is first and foremost. Business Plans are important for this reason. Recommending a complete business plan for clients who might not have one is imperative. Many times an entrepreneurial perspective may be necessary to extract relevant data from plans, proposals, conversations etc. Beginning a successful project starts with planning.

First Questions I ask my clients.

1. Do you have a business plan?
2. What kind of business are you in?
3. Who is your target market or audience?
4. Where do you see your business next year?
5. How do you want to leverage technology to increase your business?

Once the answers to these questions are clear i can begin to map out how, and in what ways we can increase revenue, company image, and market share. This implementation could involve a mass email marketing campaign or a poll by text message. Knowing the requirements is an essential part of controlling complexity, risk, project scope and in un-ambiguously defining the goals and criteria for a successful software or business project. From business plans you can model complex requirements and provide full traceability from each requirement right through to the final deliverables and system behavior. Develop your business plans and control project management. Generating a solid plan is crucial without it you plan to fail.
